The cob oven is one of the many wood-fired cooking units in Quail Springs. It works by: 1) Utilizing the thermal mass of the cob to store heat. 2) That heat is what you're cooking with (not the fire itself). 3) A fire gets the oven hot, but then the fire is pulled out and the food goes in. 4) With the door on, the oven will stay hot for hours.
