Apache trail is one of my favorite drives in the entire state of Arizona. It is so scenic , particularly this canyon, and the return views on the way to canyon lake. It is extremely important to drive slow, assess weather conditions before traveling the road, and be aware of other drivers. Unfortunately, we have seen many insanely fast and dangerous drivers on this road, putting others at risk. We usually travel this area in the early morning, before it gets crowded.
